ColorSnap is a Chrome extension that lets you pick any color from a webpage and copy its value to your clipboard. This page explains exactly what data the extension handles — and what it doesn't.

The short version: ColorSnap does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Everything the extension stores stays on your own device, inside your own browser.

What ColorSnap stores locally

Last color picked

The most recent color you selected with the eyedropper tool, so it's shown when you reopen the popup.

Color history

Your 30 most recently picked colors, kept locally so you can grab one again later.

Stays on your device

All data lives in chrome.storage.local. It never leaves your browser or reaches any server.

Permissions used

activeTab Lets the extension act on the tab you're viewing, only when you click "Pick Color."
scripting Injects the color-picker tool into the current page, only after your click. Nothing runs in the background.
storage Saves your recent colors locally on your device, as described above.
clipboardWrite Copies the picked color's HEX code to your clipboard automatically.
